United Kingdom

Great britain:

I have to say I am not a big fan of the pre-World War 2 "white notes" (for lack of colour) but I do like their extensive watermarks.  Once they add colour, look out! They have some amazing designs but one must really do their research to discover which prefixes are replacements, first, last or special in any way.   Like older US banknotes, I recommend you get well acquainted with their early series before you start purchasing them.  Remember to practice patience and due diligence in every purchase.

Pre-QEII 10 Schillings, 1 Pound and 5 Pound notes have a colourful spirographic designs.  The first QEII series is one of my favourites and should I have extras you will see them soon.  These banknotes will always enjoy a large fan base.

Scotland:

These, like Irish, Jersey & Isle of Man notes, tend to have a dedicated fan base & for good reason.  Unlike the GB notes, which come in a dizzying number of prefixes, these smaller nations are typically produced in much smaller runs. These limited series/prefixes & signature combinations have made them a favourite note to acquire for most UK/World collectors.

If you see a note you wish to purchase then please contact notaphilyc@gmail.com Orders should be over $10 USD minimum. If you wish to place an order over $100.00 USD, I will gladly cover postage. CDN & World collectors please wait for a quote in CDN dollars (for SPOT exchange rate) & to discuss preferred method of payment.
