As a territory, the Cayman Islands are somewhat similar to Hong Kong, except that it was never leased from China & did not have to be relinquished to a dominant state.  The Cayman's super lax offshore banking laws makes it a financial powerhouse considering its minute size.  But the islands proximity to the US and financial stability makes it a safe haven for billions of USD. Sure this small country may be a tax haven for the rich and famous but their currency is much sought after (if you're a collector!)  As a collectible Commonwealth independent territory, it is actively sought out by novice and advance collectors alike.
