Hong Kong was a part of the Commonwealth until the lease with Britain expired in 1997.   Only recently, has the special "Two Government systems" been tested by the Chinese authorities.  Only time will tell what is in store for this tiny city-state which seems to be threatened by Republic of China's police state.
