Federal Impact Forms: Please turn in your federal impact form by Friday, October 10th.
OUR WEEK AT A GLANCE
Math: Students will have their last test of Module 1 this week. The test will cover lessons 15-20. A study guide will come home on Tuesday, their test is on Wednesday. Then, we will begin Module 2 on Thursday, which focuses on measurement.
Reader's Workshop: We will continue working in our Benchmark Unit 2 books, called Ways Characters Shape Stories. Our focus will be answering the essential question: How do our actions influence our lives? Students will also continue working on reading skills such as finding the main idea, sequencing, comparing/contrasting texts and answering text questions.
Writer's Workshop: This week students will continue working on narrative writing. This week's prompt will be: "If I Had a Pet Bat...".
Social Studies: This week, students will continue with Week 31 in our Studies Weekly curriculum. Week 31 teaches students about American holidays and symbols.
Science: Students continue to observe the traits of closely related organisms: four species of bears. Students analyze data about the traits of a particular bear, comparing the bear's traits with the traits of other bears.
P.E.: Please dress appropriately on Monday and Friday for P.E/Dance every week.
