ANNOUNCEMENTS
TLS Showcase: Our students have been working hard in both music and dance this year. Our music and dance teachers have put together a school-wide showcase. 3rd grade will be performing at 1:00 THIS Friday, March 27th. Families are encouraged to come watch in the MPR!
OUR WEEK AT A GLANCE
Math: We will continue Module 5 this week. This module focuses on fractions. Students will be doing lessons 9 and 10. Wednesday students will receive a study guide in class that we will do together. Then on Thursday, students will take a test. As a reminder, we will take our multiplication test on Friday. Please practice multiplication daily for 10 minutes. The goal going forward is to master all multiplication facts x0-x12.
Reader's Workshop: This week, we will be starting our Unit 7 Benchmark books this week. Unit 7 is called Communities Then and Now. The essential question that students will be focusing on is: what is a community?
Writer's Workshop: We will begin our unit on Opinion writing this week! Students will be writing about what clubs they think Tierra Linda should offer using the OREO writing method.
Social Studies: This week in social studies we will learn about California's Natural Regions. Students will learn about California's Pacific Coast, mountains, central valley, desert, and delta.
P.E.: Please dress appropriately on Monday and Friday for P.E/Dance every week.
