OUR WEEK AT A GLANCE

Math: This week, students will continue working in their Module 3 books. Throughout this module, students will apply multiplication and division concepts, representations, and strategies from module 1. They use the commutative, distributive, and associative properties to help them multiply and divide. Students advance their representations to more abstract arrays and tape diagrams and begin to use a letter to represent an unknown quantity.

Reader's Workshop: This week, students will finish taking practice tests on their chromebooks so they can get used to the format of the CAASPP test. Students will finish being assessed this week to see how they have grown in the area of reading fluency and comprehension since the beginning of the school year.

Writer's Workshop: Students will begin a writing project about family holiday traditions. In a connection lesson to our new Benchmark Unit: Animal Adaptations, students will also read about reindeer and write about their habitat, food sources and adaptations.

Science: We will continue learning about forces. We will also continue supplementing Amplify Science with Mystery Science on Friday.

P.E.: Please dress appropriately on Monday and Thursday for P.E every week.

Music: We will continue with music lessons this week! Lessons will be on Tuesday and Friday.
