CAASPP Testing
CAASPP Math Packet: Students will come home this week with a completed/corrected Math CAASPP practice packet. Please review any problems they got incorrect to help them prepare for the CAASPP test.
CAASPP Testing Practice: Below are step-by-step instructions if you would like to take CAASPP practice tests at home:
Go to caaspp.org
Click on the green button that says "practice and training tests"
Click the green box that says "student interface practice and training tests"
Click the green "sign in" button (no user or session ID required)
Select 3rd grade from the drop-down menu
Students can take any of the SMARTER BALANCED PRACTICE TESTS

OUR WEEK AT A GLANCE
Math: We will continue with lessons 19 and 20 in Module 5 this week. Students will have their second test on fractions this week. It will cover lessons 11-20. We will also be reviewing math concepts that we have learned throughout the year in preparation of CAASPP testing.
At this point, students should have all multiplication facts x0-x12 memorized. Once students master their multiplication facts, they will move on to their related 0-12 division fluency.
Reader's Workshop: This week, we will be taking another practice CAASPP Performance Task. The performance task asks students to read multiple sources, take digital notes and write a multi-paragraph essay according to a prompt. We will continue to review concepts that we have learned throughout the year
Writer's Workshop: This week, we will continue our informational report project on biomes. Students will be researching and gathering information from credible sources. They will create a biome poster and triarama to go with it.
P.E.: Please dress appropriately on Monday and WEDNESDAY for P.E every week.
