Vape Testing Your New Tank
Vape Testing Your New Tank
I will never fill a new tank with Dimitri juice without first testing it with a plain PG/VG mix. Here are some of the things I'll be looking at
Practice setup such as wicking, spotting any potential limitaion issues with coil width, diameter, mounting height, etc
Evaluate the juice capacity (which won't necessarily match the manufacturer's specs), so I know how much djuice to mix
Check for any leaks, where they come from, what caused them and test actions on how to prevent them
If you're new to the kit, then it'll be useful to become familiar with vaping from the tank, mod settings, and the entire process so that it becomes second nature.
Although I've suggest test-vaping on the no-Dimitri PG/VG juice, it's important to appreciate that real live Djuice will feel very different to vape than plain PG/VG. Therefore, the scope for vapour acclimatisation, Wattage selections, evaluating vapour temperatures, etc will be very limited at best. These things can only be properly achieved when your tank is filled with the chosen Dimitri juice.
For plain PG/VG testing, I suggest a 60PG/40VG mix but exact proportion isn't critical.
So now you've completed plain PG/VG testing, replaced the old wick & have primed a new one with Djuice. You've gently filled the tank with the Djuice to ¾ (or whatever) way up the glass, connected to your mod and are all ready to take a few live test tokes
