Juice Mix Options

💡 I strongly suggest testing any new tank initially with no-dimitri PG/VG mix. Better to find out about that leak, or missing O-ring before committing your valuable d-juice. Also, if you're unsure, get some idea of the actual (not necessarily manufacturer's) juice capacity so you'll know how much djuice to mix. On this page, I'll assume you've done this & are happy about the integrity of your tank & setup.

Single coil installation (on single or dual coil deck) If using the suggested 26x2+36, 6 turns, Ø3mm or similar as mentioned here to obtain 60-80mm² of heating surface area (as indicated by Wirebuddy), then I'd suggest starting out with a 1:4 60PG/40VG, and fine tuning in future tankfuls
However, if your coil isn't much above or actually below 60mm² then consider using a slightly stronger mix to maintain potency, say 1:3.5 or even 1:3 - but still 60PG/40VG. It all depends on how punchy you'd like your mix to be. For more gentle experiences or vapourhuasca, far weaker mixes down to 1:6 ish will still be perfectly useable.
Dual coil installation Juice options for dual coil can be far more varied. If using the 26x2+36, 5 turns, Ø3mm or similar as mentioned here then for me, a 1:4 60PG/40VG provides a wide exploration range. However, some will find preference with slightly weaker mixes, and there's much versatility for experimentation with different Wattages/toke rates to fine tune desired juice strengths.

Priming

IME, the most common priming errors are trying to do it too quickly and/or over-saturating, both can lead to flooding, gurgling, juice ingestion, leaking and lack of vapour (even at high wattages). The only juice in the inner chamber should be soaked into the wick, non-wick juice in here is undesirable

There's no need to prime heavily, we don't want drips or flows over the wick, so just go slowly, allowing it to soak in fully before re-applying in a different place. Better to err on the side of too dry than too wet. Also, if your syringe is prone to sudden squirting of jets then consider a 5ml dripper bottle (see pic), which will generally be miles more predictable

Dripper bottles cost pennies and can make priming much easier & less spillage. Generally made from LDPE and before you ask, no - personally I don't care about it being "plastic"

Filling

Squirting the juice in under pressure also seems to be a cause of flooding. I'm not exactly sure why, but it appears to be far better to fill slowly, again perhaps using a dripper bottle. Also, I suggest not filling right to the upper limit of the glass as this also seems to increase the risk of flooding. When completed, replace the cap without delay.
