For this activity, you will have 30 minutes to research the culture of your assigned geographical combatant command. During your research and discussion, answer the following questions and be prepared to present your responses to the other groups:
Describe the general macro-culture of your region.
Using the domains of culture, provide two or more examples of general behaviors and activities associated with that region (i.e., food, dancing, arts, music, performances, celebrations).
Using the domains of culture, provide two or more examples of general beliefs and values that may impact military operations in that region. (These should be different from general American beliefs but may not be.)
Considering terrorism, does the nature of your assigned geographical culture promote or influence extremist activity, are there are any terrorist or extremist groups active in that area, and how does it affect/impact the local culture/region? How do this impact our ability to operate in that region?
