After Action Report
Intent:
Present a final brief as an After Action Report to the Joint Task Force Commander (school leadership).
Instructions:
You will have two hours to develop an After Action Report (Power Point) presented as a 15-20 minute briefe. You will:
Briefly summarize the reason for the mission.
Summarize what was supposed to happen (your initial plan) and how it changed.
Provide a summary of the injects your team received and how your plan was adjusted.
How did the team respond during injects?
Explain how the operation could impact U.S National Security if executed (positively or negatively).
How would this operation enhance deterrence?
How would this operation give the U.S. an advantage in one or more areas of the instruments of national power?
Summarize your teams experience throughout the Mission Exercise.
What 2 or 3 lesson concepts were most evident?
What went well and what did not go well?
What did your team learn about how the Air Force supports joint operations?
What changes would you make to how the Air Force supports joint operations and why?
How did this exercise prepare you to operate and lead in a joint environment?
What recommendations do you have, if any, to improve the Mission Exercise for future students?
Briefings should be 15 to 20 minutes.
Be prepared to answer any questions upon delivery.
