By the end of the lesson, students should be able to
explain the concepts trust, communication, and cooperation in the context of team building;
summarize team general intragroup and intergroup behaviors;
describe the effects of personal leadership styles on team dynamics; and

Lesson Intent
This lesson intends to develop NCOs’ operational competence in leading teams. Using guided discussion, activities, and analysis of survey material, students should recall knowledge learned in ALS and expand on the subject matter in connection to their personal knowledge and experiences and other lessons throughout NCOA.
At the end of this lesson, students should have reached the “Understand” level of Bloom’s Taxonomy: construct meaning from instructional messages, including oral, written, and graphic communication.
