By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
Clarify the fundamentals of both Conventional and Irregular Warfare (IW)
Explain how the U.S. military is organized to plan, execute, sustain, and train for joint operations
Describe principles of joint operations and functions
Explain the nature of globally integrated operations in the Information Environment (IE)
This lesson is provides the students with an introduction to joint operating concepts. Students should be able to understand how the concepts covered in this lesson apply to the conduct of warfare operations. This lesson must be delivered after the National Strategy lesson because it builds upon the concepts introduced in that lesson.
