This activity’s objective is to help you interpret data regarding the intragroup behaviors of your teams, infer the implications of that data, explain the information to a group, and suggest ways to improve intragroup behavior.
As a reminder, intragroup behavior refers to the patterns of cooperation, trust at all levels, and the sharing of job information among the team members.
For this activity, you will need your answers from the Who Do I Lead? Questionnaire.
Each group will be assigned one of the survey questions for analysis and receive a handout with their respective question. Visit each group’s desk and place a mark that corresponds with your personal answer. Do not write your name next to your answers; the goal of this part of the activity is to collect anonymous sample data.
When you have answered all five questions, return to your group to complete the activity.
Analyze the answers to your respective behavior question and prepare a short briefing that answers the questions below. A visual aid is suggested to help visual learners understand the survey answers and connect with your presented analysis.
Questions
Describe your question for the class.
Where did the majority of students place their airmen on the scale?
Were there any outliers? Please describe how the outliers’ answers differ from the majority.
Describe at least two team behaviors (positive or negative) a team leader might observe among their airmen based on the survey answers the class provided.
Suggest at least one way a team leader could encourage positive behaviors among team members.
Your briefing does not have a required time minimum but should answer all of the questions. You should be prepared to take questions from the instructor and the class on your area of behavior.
