Vincent van Gogh - LINES & COLOR
Vincent Van Gogh is one of the most famous painters worldwide. He is VERY famous for bringing two very simple things together in a very special way.
LINES -He used SILLY lines all over his canvas, so you see them.
COLOR - He used bright colors to make his paintings stand out.
When we learn the ABCs of Art, both of these elements are the first elements we learn to draw.
COLOR is something we see and can feel! I bet each of you have a favorite color. How does your favorite color make you feel?
Color choices share what we see to others using drawings! If you go outside on a winter day, what colors do you see? If you think about Valentine's Day, what colors come to mind right away?
Now, lets look at Van Gogh's swirly bright flower paintings. These are some of THE MOST FAMOUS paintings worldwide.... What do you think? Do you see the lines and swirls? How about the different colors?
