Much like all students entering middle school, you will be getting a locker for the very first time. What's fun about a locker is that you can personalize it to your own style! Today you will be creating a photo frame for you to hang in your locker next year.
Supplies:
Open 1 package of model magic. Divide it so that you have two parts: 3/4 (this will be your frame) and 1/4 (this will be your decorations).
Color your frame (the 3/4 part). You can use one color or as many colors as you would like.
When making many colors, you will need to tear off and mix small pieces of model magic. This will create bright colors!
When you are finished, attach the color pieces together as shown.
Roll your frame piece into a coil that is approximately 12 inches long.
Now it's time to shape your frame! Each side should measure approximately 3 inches long (4 sides x 3 inches = 12 inch perimeter).
Be careful when bending the corners of your frame. All sides should be about 3 inches.
The frame is shaped!
Now let's give your frame some surface area! Begin by pushing in your frame toward the center.
The goal is to get the center to be about 2.5 inches on each side. This is where your photo will be. Feel free to give it some shape!
Add texture using found objects. Legos, shells, and straw make great designs! A ruler can create lines and sharp corners.
Use your 1/4 piece to add decorations. Initials, animals, or any symbol that represents YOU!
Use all of your model magic! I had some left over and added to the outside of my frame. What else could you do with extra model magic?
