Druids keep traditions and beliefs alive, namely the symbolic meaning of animals, which is a matter of great importance. Here are a few examples :
The horse : the most precious animal, representing nobility, good fortune and power.
Its symbolism changes depending on the color of its coat : white horses are a sign of great spirituality, while black horses are a harbinger of death.
The boar : symbol of the druids, it also represents invincibility and wealth.
The bear : symbol of warriors, and by the same reasoning, knights. It represents strength, bravery and compassion.
The name ‘Arthur” comes from the Proto-Celtic “Artos”, which means “bear”.
The stag : divine symbol of Cernunnos, the antlered god, the stag represents fertility, transformation, magic and all things tied to the Otherworld.
