MORGAN :
Our new target…
…is the Grail.
MAGE :
No idea what that is, but
why should I help you?
You ruined my plan, after all.
MORGAN :
I beg your pardon? I ruined your plan?
Translocating Camelot or going after Guinevere was never on the cards. The moment I saw you come in, I knew that something was about to go wrong.
If you’d stayed put and intercepted the knights as we’d planned, we’d be much closer to our goals.
MAGE :
Your goal. It was never mine.
MORGAN :
And yet, those were the terms of our agreement.
MAGE :
Not after I found out about some little details you've been keeping under wraps.
You haven’t been all that honest with me, have you?
Gawain is your daughter, Arthur is your brother.
And you thought you could keep that from me?
You took advantage of my situation. All I did was return the favor.
I’ve learned much about you.
You’re discreet, but not infallible.
You’ve been speaking with other kingdoms, looking for their weaknesses.
Sometimes, you encourage them to rise against the Round Table. Against Arthur.
So, what is it you want?
Power?
To dethrone Arthur?
To kill him?
MORGAN :
…
I want…
I want him to slowly burn himself to ashes, until there is nothing left of him.
I want him to fall prey to despair in its purest form.
MAGE :
…
That’s a lot of resentment, I see.
Sounds like it's been eating at you.
Pathetic.
And here I was, ready to sacrifice myself for the sake of vengeance.
I’m surprised you didn’t let me deal with Guinevere, in that case.
MORGAN :
…
Guinevere has nothing to do with this. She’ll keep the promise she made you.
MAGE :
…Oh.
You care for her a great deal.
How ironic.
MORGAN :
It matters not.
I’m going to need your help, but I can’t break you out of here just yet. It’d look suspicious.
MAGE :
Oh, because you’re on your own now, huh?
Is your little boy toy busy? That’s a shame. At least he was kind of funny. ( What was his name again? Bruce? )
Whatever. I refuse.
What do I stand to gain from twiddling my thumbs and quietly waiting for your next plan
if you’re so certain Guinevere will grant me her royal pardon?
I could even denounce you, if I so wished.
MORGAN :
What do you stand to gain…?
The right to live.
And I’ll consider it a mercy, after all you’ve done to me.
I’ll come back for you.
We shall speak again then.
PALAMEDES :
Hey.
Don’t put fabric and armor in the same bag, you’re going to get oil stains on it.
PERCIVAL :
Oh, yes, sorry.
My mind was elsewhere. I didn’t think I’d be leaving on a quest so soon…
Thank you for requesting me as a squire, Sir Palamedes!
PALAMEDES :
[ sighs ]
…Galahad sought me out, and…
…Bedivere took care of it, I…
…all I did was approve the whole thing.
PERCIVAL :
But Galahad told me you don’t usually keep a squire. So, thank you.
PALAMEDES :
…
…Let’s go.
PERCIVAL :
( Samhain came to an end on a tense note⎯but also a restless one.
The artefacts we have to find are in two different places, each quite far from the other,
and so two separate groups were dispatched.
As for the knights departing on this mission… )
GAWAIN :
Look after Gringolet, will you?
He’s not in his prime anymore.
[ mordred waves at percy all flustered ]
PERCIVAL :
( …I’m leaving with Mordred.
Sir Gawain went to offer him to come with all on her own… )
GAWAIN :
I told you, I’m bringing you on a quest. Why are you making that face?
PERCIVAL :
( …as if something had suddenly made her change her mind.
So at least I get some respite in the midst of all this. )
GALAHAD :
Sorry, buddy…
We’re going to have to leave you here so you can rest up.
BORS :
Tell him I didn’t expect to leave on a quest again as soon as I got here⎯
GALAHAD :
Did you hear that? He’s avoiding his responsibilities too. For shame!
BORS :
I’m not sure I understood everything about this…
…but I want to be of use. For Lamorak.
LANCELOT :
Bors, Galahad.
I’m waiting for you.
BORS :
Coming, Lance.
How about you? What are you going to do?
DINADAN :
Sit and wait like a dummy for my armor to be repaired⎯
BORS :
Oh yeah?
You’ve got your snooping face on, though.
DINADAN :
I do?
BORS :
Yes, yes.
DINADAN :
It’s true, I’m going to stay here and try look into this and that…
Someone has to keep an eye on things here, after all.
Plus, I want to enjoy Brunor’s company some more before he leaves again!
BEDIVERE :
Have a safe journey. Take care.
DINADAN :
Be careful.
ARTHUR :
She’ll be back.
GUINEVERE :
…Maybe.
What the three of us had, though…
…no longer seems possible to me.
To see her walk away from us is paralyzing.
She’s suffering, Arthur, she really is.
ARTHUR :
I know, but…
…
I don’t know what to do.
I made that decision too long ago, and
I don’t know how to go back on it without ruining everything.
GUINEVERE :
…How somber you are, my love.
There might be a solution. We must think it over, together.
…I’m here, Arthur.
Why would I ever leave you?
I’m not going anywhere.
ARTHUR :
…That’s true.
You’re here…
Without you, I…
…I don’t know what I’d do.
ROUND TABLE TRIVIA
More horses from the Round Table!
Gringolet, Gawain’s horse : has been talked shit about for over ten years </3
Gawain :
He’s been with me for quite some time. Not bad for a gringalet.
Hengroen, Arthur’s mare.
Arthur :
Bedivere raises all my horses, so they have Welsh names… ( It was the same for my mare Llamrei, a long time ago… )
…of occasionally questionable taste.
Hengroen apparently means “old skin”.
Ruthyr Chon Tuth Bleidd, Percival’s horse.
Percival : I call him Ruthyr for short. It means, uh, impetuous and wolf-footed. Because he’s really quiet, and wolves are quiet, so…
Ruthyr :
Nerd. [ lil prancing noise ]
