✞LOCKPORT, N. Y.; UNION-SUN AND JOURNAL, Thursday, May 16, 1968 - Richard Wall Of GM Staff Dies At Age 42 - Richard D. Wall, 42, of 6675 Crosby Road, Town of Lockport - a Harrison worker died this morning (May 16, 1968) at De Graff Memorial Hospital after a six month illness. He was born Feb. 4, 1926 at Grand Island a son of Emory G. Wall and Helen Dysinger Wall, now of Lockport. Mr. Wall had been employed for 17 years as an inspector at Harrison Radiator Division, General Motors Corp. He was an exempt fireman of Rapids Volunteer Fire Co., and a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church, Akron. A veteran of World War II, he was a Tech. 5 in the Medical Detachment with the 136th Infantry of the U. S. Army. He had served in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, Philippine Liberation and European - African Middle Eastern Campaign. Besides his parents, he is survived by his widow, the former Dorothy Ball; four daughters and four sons; Susan, Kathy, Betty, Bonnie, Richard, Edward, Stephen and Alfred, all at home; two brothers, Richard D. Wall of Lockport, his twin, and Emory G. Wall Jr. of Little Silver, N.J.; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Gertrude Dysinger of Saranac Lake; also several aunts, uncles and cousins. Beginning this evening, friends may call at the Lange Funeral Home, 186 East Ave., where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fundamental Baptist Church, Rapids Road (at Sand Hill), Akron, with the Rev. Charles Boseck, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hunts Corners Cemetery.
