Download 10 fonts that you would actually use.
Unzip the fonts in a folder on your desktop.
Install Fonts
In Illustrator create a page showing all the downloaded fonts
Change color for each font
Use stroke color where you can, but not if it distorts the characters.

Select the type and expand it.
Object > Expand
Press OK with both Object & Fill selected
Ungroup Text: Object > Ungroup
Open Appearance Tab add as many stroke layers as you want Adjust stoke thickness and location (Center, Inside, & Outside)
