Bump & Displacement Mapping

This is the goal . . .

Download the zipped folder

ganges_river_pebbles_4k.zip

Unzip the file  . . . 'Extract All'

Create 5 spheres witth AIStandardSurface Material and image based lighting.

Add Image based lighting.

Make sure you hide it in the render view.  Visibility = 0

Bump Mapping

To assign a bump map, scroll down in the AiStandardSurface material attributes to the Geometry tab and click the checkerboard tab to load the texture.   

If you want to change the the Bump strength . . .  

Click the output of Bump Mapping . . .

Click the Outputs of the file . . .

Change the strength here . . . Bump Depth

Displacement Mapping

Click the outputs of the material . . .

Click the checkboard next to the Displacement Mat. and choose File . . .

Navigate to the Displacement image . . .

Change the Displacement Scale to 0.25 . . .

Now render 

This is the goal . . .  You should have 5 spheres shown below.
