Helion foam: On created Helion for its superior performance. The thick EVA foam is lightweight but strong, and it withstands extreme temperatures. This results in less compression over time and greater long-term comfort.
Shoes as a Service: Sustainable Shoe Design
ON offers a circular, closed-loop process for their Cloudneo road running shoe, where runners can lease the shoe for $30 per month. After at least 90 days, runners can request a new pair through their account and receive a brand new pair of Cloudneos along with a FedEx return label to send back their old pair. The old pair is cleaned, ground down into recyclable components, and made into new pairs of Cloudneos. The shoe is made out of a material called PA11, which comes from castor bean oil and pebax elastomers, and is fully recyclable except for small elements like glue and the sock liner. This process costs subscribers roughly the amount they would spend to buy three new pairs of $120 running shoes per year, with zero waste.
