The Fall semester at MOST SUNY/Private Colleges begins Tuesday, August 20th
To verify this, please search up your school's individual 2024-25 Academic calendar to confirm when the first day of class will be!
All SUNY schools have different portals they use for students to register for classes. The best way to find out what portal to use, and how to access it is visiting your college's website for more information.
Usually these portals are named MY[Insert College Name]. For example, the college portal for SUNY Empire State College is MYSUNYEmpire.
The video on the left is an example of a school (SUNY New Paltz) with a different system a portal that students use to register for courses. Similarly tools as provided by CUNY are also available to SUNY students according to their college.
Because these portals vary from college to college, it is important that you locate your college's website and bookmark/get ahold of it in order to learn their class registration process per semester.
Here is the link to the general SUNY website where you can find information on all colleges and their programs!
You can also use your school's academic calendar by searching it on your school's website. Having access to your school's academic calendar is extremely important as it provides you with, not only the days you will have off (including holiday breaks), but also important deadlines about your class registration (such as add/drop class deadlines, tuition refunds, and more).
Search up your school's name, and add the academic year you would like to review. It is best to write down the days that your school observes holiday breaks.
