The Door is a free multi-service agency servicing 11,000 young people from all over New York City, with a wide range of services including reproductive health care and education, mental health counseling and crisis assistance, legal assistance, GED and ESOL classes, tutoring and homework help, college preparation services, career development, job training and placement, supportive housing, sports and recreational activities, arts, and nutritious meals–all for free, completely confidentially, and under one roof. Trainings include: Culinary, EMT, Retail, Landscaping, and more.
Must be 16-24 years old
NYC Resident
High school diploma or GED recipient
Not currently in school or employed
Have a barrier such as homelessness, receives public assistance, youth parent, has a disability, lives in a high-poverty area, foster care, ESOL, etc.

Drop in services (food, clothing, hygiene items, laundry, and showers)
Health center (medical, vision and dental, mental health, HIV and STI testing, etc.)
Recreation and arts (music, visual arts, dance, and community service)
Mental health clinic (therapeutic groups, individual weekly therapy)
Education programs (high school equivalency classes)
Bridge to college (college prep workshop)
For youth with system involvement:
Earn $50 in monthly check-ins for the first year of college
Receive $250 of book grants
Earn up to $250 for completing the College prep classes
