Preamble to the Constitution of Indonesia Scouting Academia
Higher education institutions are entities within the social environment that play a strategic role as centers of education dedicated to advancing knowledge, technology, and the arts. Their mission is to contribute to the intellectual development of the nation and the improvement of public welfare, in alignment with national and regional development goals, as well as the objectives of national education. Contributing to the educational process to enhance the quality of human resources is a vital aspect of the academic profession, serving as a form of dedication to the nation and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Building education is inherently an integral part of nation-building.
To achieve these goals, all elements of higher education must take a leading role alongside other national components to fulfill the aspirations of enlightening the nation and improving public welfare, aligned with the evolving needs of the times. Scouting education, which is now seen as a critical tool in fostering nation-building, requires the active participation of higher education institutions in creating a self-reliant nation. This is achieved by producing skilled, character-driven, high-quality, and competitive individuals who will educate the future generations of the nation.
Lecturers teaching Scouting Education, as key stakeholders and fundamental pillars in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, hold a strategic position in realizing educational objectives. This is particularly evident in their efforts to advance educational sciences in general and Scouting Education in particular. Within the academic framework of higher education, Scouting Education is regarded as a subject of scientific inquiry, a methodology for teaching, and a form of community service—all aimed at achieving national development goals.
By the grace of Almighty God and driven by a moral responsibility to advance educational science, technology, and the development of Scouting Education, as well as a commitment to producing higher education graduates who are competent, resilient, and of exceptional quality to carry forward the mission of building excellent human resources grounded in noble moral principles, the lecturers of Scouting Education hereby pledge to establish an association with the following Articles of Association:
