I am from Grand Haven. I am a freshman. I like geography and looking at maps and also creating comics. I'm exploratory for now in college. I also like watching football. I have a sister and two brothers. One of the photos I liked was the "Hotspot" art exhibit. The art is made by Mona Hatoum and uses neon to create the globe. (Wikipedia) and (The Seen Journal).

I really like your image with the word Utopian on it. The way that you were able to edit a foggy strip on top of the image was very successful. It makes the viewer think deeper about the unintentional message of your composition. Great work!

Being a Lamp
People always ask me what it is like being a lamp. It is mostly the textbooks or the pencils or even the desk which offers the hospitality for me. Being a lamp is more than being just a tool in which I illuminate countless sessions of writing and reading. Being a lamp is watching over. I am very curious of each page and every word that is written and read by the student. I am also focused; constantly shining my gaze of light on whatever the student chooses to illuminate. Bringing clarity, I am able to help the student see, but am pliable so that if the student adjusts me, I will listen.

This installation uses pop tubes and tape. They are various colors and are meant to connect and look like pipes that come out of a hallway wall preferably in the atrium study area or another hallway. The meaning behind this is to show that when you walk through the installation, it represents the problems of life as they come and go.
