My name is Kasey, sometimes people call me by my nickname: Kase. Wasn't a huge fan of it but it grew on me. I am a freshman at GVSU majoring in psychology. I love to write; poems specifically. I was born and raised in Grand Rapids. I am Dominican, and speak both english and Spanish fluently. I'm the youngest out of two, I got away with a lot because of it lol. I am a dog mom, I had two dogs; Sparky, the oldest, passed away this summer. I still include him because he grew up with me since kindergarten. Also another thing about me is that I take a lot of pictures of things that are important to me.
TAKE YOUR MONEY
Installation Project: For my Installation, my group members and I decided to create a project involving money, specifically $100. The idea was to portray the idea of how people are too obsessed with money that they become greedy. We wanted to place the money where it can be out of reach but not too far so that it could be an obvious catch. In some pictures, we had a $100 that was torn apart, demonstrating how people tried to grab the money not realizing the meaning.

Inanimate Object: I am a Clock
Why are people asking me to quit ticking? Why can't I control it and why won't time work in my favor? I constantly wish I could slow down and let certain moments continue forever. Why do I feel like I have a destination even if I'm not sure where I'm going? It seems like everything is repetitive, every day, I tick the same way I did yesterday. However, each day, something new happens and something new is learned. How do I have this much power? If I would stop ticking, what would the world do? Would they try to bring me back or learn how to live a life without me?
I love the combination of stable and the photo from behind the steering wheel. Personally I've always associated stability with an absence of change. When you pair that with driving, which is essentially a transition from one place to another it creates a really interesting paradox. -Anna
I really like how random the photo for attachment is!! Then it really makes you think of all the possible things it could represent. Great creativity as always!!- Alli Rice
