My name is Gavin Lippert. I am a freshmen here and I am planning on majoring in business (for now at least). I like spending time with friends and family, as well as traveling to different places.
I really like this picture because of the depth that it has. The picture progressively gets taller. It starts out with the water, then a few weeds, the small dead trees, and then finally tall trees in the background. I think the word nifty is a good fit for this image because when I think of nifty I think of unique and cool and i think it represents the image well.

Object Embodiment
I am a wheel. I can be utilized in several different ways, including cars, trucks, or even wagons. I like to move around. I move either really fast or really slow. The ride is sometimes smooth or bumpy. Sometimes I may find myself stuck. No matter what, I also manage to get the job done by reaching my destination.
5 Word Narrative
I decide that I want to take a leisurely stroll outside. Before I go, I check on my houseplant and make sure that it is nice and watered. I wear a jacket, as the weather is quite cold outside. I bring my house key before I exit my house. I judge the outside before I start walking. It's cold yet sunny; a perfect day.
James Turrell, born May 6, 1943, is an American artist whose first works started with light projections. Before working with art, much occurred in his early life, including earning a pilot’s license, getting a BA degree in perceptual psychology, and being arrested for helping young men avoid the Vietnam draft. He is known for the Light and Space movement, which deals with geometric abstraction art. He also began a series of Skyspaces, which is an enclosed space with an interesting way to view the sky through the roof.
The name of this art piece is versatile. It has many different purposes, such as holding objects, being a lamp, and can even look like a cool sculpture.
Paragraph about Michael Ray Charles Art 21
Michael Ray Charles likes to link his artwork to the past, because the past can be an emotional place to look back to. He looks back at the past of American History; most specifically, blackface. Blackface was a terrible concept but he chooses to look back at because of how it shifted American culture. He wants to display this artwork to those who view his work because he wants people to remember our past and what our culture was.

Installation Project Write-Up
Our current plan is to put the paper chains we made and find a way to attach them to branches. One idea was to wrap it around the tree trunk itself. The chain could represent how we have taken control of certain environmental resources and have been using them for our own gain. We have been locking it away from others so that they can't use it (ex. other animals).
