Curation Project

We will create curatorial booklets that include a (minimum) 300 words over two or three paragraphs that combine either:

•  3 artists from Any of the Art 21 regular programs. 

• or a thoughtful documentation of our Group Installations.

If your booklet is on your group installation, be sure to include many different angles, with close ups and captions for at least one of the photos in order to make sense of them. This installation project requires some creating title and plentiful, illuminating description of the process and the intended meaning behind the project.

If your booklet is on the Art21 Artist, your project can be developed conceptually (based on similarly expressed ideas), structurally (including certain formal qualities that are shared or outlined in an organized manner), or experientially (juxtaposing artists work with one another for effect). This will be designed and produced using InDesign in book form with minimum 8 pages. (Remember you get 4 pages from from 1 piece of paper so add pages in multiples of 4). 

The catalog should include images. If these images do not have proper copyright allowance, a small statement should be included that they are being used for educational purposes and are not for publication. For example: "This booklet is produced for educational purposes only. Permission was not sought or granted for use of the images." 

TWO COPIES OF THE BOOKS WILL BE TURNED IN.
