Inanimate Object Project: I am a Table

Everyday I wait for someone to use me. The satisfaction I gain from someone being able to rest those heavy books on me. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else except to give my assistance to those in need of a place to rest their stuff. What else would I do besides standing here and wait. Where do people go, is there more to the world then this room?

As the old man kneeled he came up with a creative new tactic when he goes hunting.

Takashi Murakami is a Jappenese conteperay artist who has done many well known works of art. He has colaborated with many famous people and brands like Kanye West and Louis Vuitton. 

Ai Weiwei in "Change"

This video is about Ai Weiwei's story and the type of art he creates. Ai is a humen right activist that lives in China. In the video it is present that Ai is in some sort of trouble by the Chinese government. The art he creates angers the government and now he is watched and punished for speacking out on the wrong doing that is occuring in where he lives. The art he creates is powerful and makes you question. 

Object Project 

This Shipping container traveled all over the world, coast to coast. We depend on having these shipping containers to transport our goods safely. We put a lot of trust into something that we take for granted. A shipping container can contain our hopes and ambitions; but sometimes when you open the shipping container it's not what you hoped for or expected. 

For this instillation, we decided to use 54 pieces of red yarn and an empty hallway. It ended up looking very appealing to the eye. We connected the pieces of yarn across the hallway 27 times on each side. We alternated the sides in which the string started at the top, creating a point of origin which then looked like an illusion. 

This instillation looks organized due to how each piece of yarn is pulled so tightly. The way the yarn crosses creates this laser look. This piece of work has many different angles to look at the piece from, which causes the piece to have an army of meanings because of the multiple view points of the our installation.
