Hi Kennedy! Your image "Dazzling" was my favourite of the 3. I really liked the color you chose and how it matches with the hue of the confetti in the image. The other images here are good as well; I enjoy how the "Emotional" one has the word placed so closely to the bright sun, really gives the image a deeper meaning! Personally "Promote" doesn't do as much for me as the other images but overall good job!  - Lexi B.

Everything Is Alive

I am a car. When the wind is in my face and I feel so free, too bad it is usually only for short periods of time throughout the day. It’s hard to enjoy in the morning when there is such a rush to my humans to work; the best time of the day is on the way home, when we have music playing and everyone is not in as much of a rush. There is a rare occasion when I get to enjoy the day for longer, but as I said, it’s rare. When I am not doing my job, I am sitting and waiting, just waiting. This makes life frustrating; I wish I had the free will to power up and take off whenever I pleased, but my humans need me, and I take my job seriously. I have been with my family for a few years now and I would do anything for them. They trust me to keep them safe, but sometimes that is nearly impossible with how easy it is to get distracted these days. I have noticed that a lot of humans think they are invincible and tend to not pay attention to their surroundings. I wish I could operate self-sufficiently, but unfortunately; I still require guidance from my human.

Mark Bradford is an American contemporary artist that constructs large paintings made of paper. His work usually shines a light on social and political topics to get people engaged in a conversation. Bradford uses materials and tools from a hardware store. Each tool or technique has a meaning on top of its artistic use. He often uses maps, movie posters, comic books, and advertisements that take advantage of neighborhoods that are impoverished and outlines the pictures with rope or caulk. Mark then distresses his work with tools. Bradford was inspired by his love for art through his experience traveling in Europe and visiting the museums. 

Wojtek Babski is a Polish Contemporary artist whose work is a mix of realism and abstract, specifically impressions. The style of art Wojtek focuses on is pop and street art. He primarily paints women’s faces and silhouettes. His works are usually very strong and vivid colors. The media he chooses is acrylic paint on canvas and usually works on larger paintings (1.4 to 2 meters). He takes inspiration for his paintings from photos he takes himself and occasionally uses pictures from the internet or press and wants his work to give off color, emotions, and energy.

Ai WeiWei Art 21

Ai Weiwei was taken into custody by Chinese authorities for tax evasion. He has a piece called, 'Circle of Animal heads' in New York. He believes art should be for everyone. He has two assistants that he mentors and with each project he makes sure they are learning something new and not just doing menial tasks.  When it comes to projects, what is important to WeiWei is the space of a piece and how it is used. There are many people volunteer to help Weiwei with his pieces, which often make a lot of noise with the Chinese Government. He kept his life as public as he could so there was no point of him being spied on. He did a piece that was a marble surveillance camera because the camera symbolizes watching peoples' behaviors when they are unaware but with it being marble it does not function anymore. His father was an artist and with having learned skills from him, he naturally followed his path. He likes being an artist because there are always new possibilities when it comes to his work.
