With the lack of many special attackers and with the many effective physical attackers the meta quickly develops into a Bulky Balance, & Bulky Offense, thriving meta in an attempt to respond to the many physical threats present, as well as abusing them yourself. Hyper Offense and Offense are also viable but aren't as strong as the prior. With the lack of any immediate Ghost types (Shadow Sneak Kecleon trust), Normal and Fighting types thrive in this meta, and become some of the most spammable offensive types in the tier, which allows the likes of Ambipom, Tauros, and other such physical Normal types to thrive. Despite what I just said, there are still a few relevant special attackers with high usage because of their scarcity on top of being excellent at what they do.
Sigilyph is by far the most popular Pokemon because of its apex-like utility; Defog is extremely valuable in a tier where the only other "good" hazard remover is Rapid Spin Hitmonchan, Magic Guard is great into Stealth Rocks and lets Sigilyph absorb Toxic, Air Slash and Psychic are very good into the Fighting types, you can bluff passive sets with Life Orb, and it has many other options like Cosmic Power, Calm Mind, Choice Scarf, and Trick shenanigans.
Bewear is a popular Pokemon because of its ability in the team builder to fit on virtually any team style and check most of the physical threats, even Hyper Offense. Bewear can run Bulk Up, Roar, Drain Punch, Body Slam, Darkest Lariat, Protect, & even some other miscellaneous options like Swords Dance, Rest, Close Combat, Aerial Ace, and Ice Punch.
Uxie is another popular utility Psychic type. Despite this, it doesn't have much competition with Sigilyph as they provide mostly different roles. Uxie wants to be a bulky special/mixed pivot with U-Turn, Stealth Rocks, Encore, Yawn, Knock Off, Heal Bell, Toxic, and Thunder Wave. It can also have offensive roles with Memento, Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, and Trick Room.
Weezing is another physical wall that can threaten Will-o-Wisp on a majority of the meta, Clear Smog for the hard-to-out Alcremie, and Toxic Spikes to bully most of the meta all while walling a bunch of physical attackers in the tier.
Moving on from utility Pokemon we can finally get to the big boys.
Ambipom is extremely popular because it can just U-Turn on all the major physical checks and bring in teammates to slowly chip things down. Ambipom typically likes using Technician and Loaded Dice or Skill Link Boots sets, but Fake Out + Last Resort is another very effective set on teams that aim to overwhelm Weezing & Bewear.
Zygarde is one of the best wall breakers in the tier because of the few Pokemon who can switch into it. By far its best defensive checks are Scrafty & Physical Defense Regigigas, both of which aren't very easy to slot on teams and don't have the usage to combat Zygarde very often. Apart from those two, Araquanid is your best chance against Thousand Arrows, which folds to Stone Edge. Alcremie can revenge kill an Outrage-locked Zygarde while also setting up on unboosted Zygarde. Zygarde loves Choice Band since it lets it make the most out of its busted moveset in the long term, but it also loves Dragon Dance as a late-game cleaner with Thousand Arrows, Outrage, coverage, or Extreme Speed.
Breloom is simply an effective Loaded Dice user, a bulky attacker with Poison Heal, or a pretty good Choice Band user, all while having access to Spore, which is very strong with only really Alcremie and Pincurchin being able to stop Spore.
Araquanid is solid for setting Sticky Webs and being a good Choice band or Choice Specs user.
Alcremie is difficult to stop once you get going with the Acid Armor, Calm Mind, & Stored Power set, and Scarf revenge kills most of the meta. As well as being the only half Pangoro switch-in, Arctozolt breaks teams with Bolt Beak & friends, Pangoro is unwallable and is hard to switch into with a Choice Band, Tauros can break through its Physical Defense checks with Facade, and Tauros sometimes uses mixed sets with Fire Blast to hit an incoming Fluffy Bewear, Persian can soft check most Pokemon including physical attackers and Psychic types while being disruptive with Knock Off, Taunt, and Parting Shot, and Togedemaru is the only Wish Passer while also checking Alcremie with Encore/Super Fang, switching into Tail Slap Ambipom, U-Turning on Zygarde, and Spreading Status.
