For this assignment we hand to take a photo that represented waht you think love is. My subject in this photo is Me, and my friend Ethan. We took this photo in the main isle in target in Topsham. For this photo I used a tripod that I set up in the isle, used my phone for the camera, and then set a timer for 10 seconds so I had enough time to run down and have ethan hop on my back. I chose to create this image because I thought it was a little be different and more funny than something else I could've done. I really tried to focus on using as much space as I could as well as have it balanced well enough that it is pleasing to look at and have it be an enjoyable image.
Some of the coomposition rules that I used were the rule of thirds as well as sharp focus. I tried making me and ethan be apart of the left side of the image so there was enough interesting space to the right such as the manequinn and liam in the background. I also used sharp focus because target has great lighting and many details around its isles and product that it would've looked a lot better to leave it focused very sharply. My project evolved from a thought of taking a photo of my dog because I love him the mos, but I wanted it to represent my inquiry question so I packed up the car and rove to target with some friends because I value friendsip just as much as I do my dog.
Th emeaning behind this image is that I met Ethan in my freshman year english class and we started to become closer, and over the past 3 years of high school he has become one of my best friends, and to represent love, I used him becasue I think that a very powerful friendship, represents love in te perfect way because I value our friendship very very highly. It relates to my life because he, and many more, are a very big part of my life and I love having bonds and friendship that I think will last a lifetime. I think the only thing that really bothers me about this image is that I could've done something more creative while editing this and wish I would've done something a little more intense.
