Digital Compositions

Artist Statement

For this project we were tasked to create a portfolio title "Digital compositions" and create a new page of our website with 18 personal Images that we took ourselves following the rules of composition. I oriented the photos in columns on left being the original, and the one on the right being the altered/edited ones. I used all the stuff we went over in class to apply in my photo. How details were incorporated, how I wanted the scene to look like and how I was going to take this photo. However, when taking these photos I didn't really keep those rules in mind because I knew that in these pictures there was an element of what these rules showed. Only a few images i did force because I couldn't find them naturally or were hard to capture myself. Overall this project has shown me how the rules of composition make up an image and without any of the subjects in the photo, it would be nothing.
