Access the SOC Learns Training Portal
CDOT's Transportation Engineering Training Program (TETP) offers classes to CDOT engineering staff and external partners on diverse topics in both preconstruction and construction. TETP training emphasizes CDOT-specific processes and procedures and is available in a variety of learning formats:
Self-paced online e-learning
In-person instructor-led training (ILT)
Virtual instructor-led training (VILT)
Technical video training
TETP ILTs are scheduled at the beginning of every fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). The 2026 fiscal year training schedule is currently in development and will be released in fall 2025. When the schedule is announced, all TETP ILTs will be available for enrollment in the State of Colorado (SOC) Learns Training Portal.
This page is designed to allow you to find and enroll directly in TETP instructor-led training or take a TETP online course in SOC Learns. TETP also has Learning Maps to help CDOT employees tailor a training path that best suits their role.
Read the course descriptions below, looking at What you'll learn, the Format, and Length;

Important:
Seating availability for instructor-led courses is on a first-come, first-served basis. Your seat is not reserved until your supervisor approves your enrollment in SOC Learns. Additional offerings may be scheduled based on demand and resource availability.
All TETP e-learning courses are available on-demand in SOC Learns and can be reviewed at any time. Once you have completed a course, you can return to the course via your transcript and skip directly to any topic of interest for quick reference. If there is any e-learning that you consistently plan on using as a resource, you can bookmark the course or its resources document.
These educational courses are intended as guidance regarding the design, construction, and management of transportation projects and do not constitute official rules or regulations of CDOT.
Contact the TETP Managers, Allison Wilson and Jordan Isales, with any questions.
