Technical Classes and E-Learning for Engineers
OED offers NHI classes each fiscal year to Engineers across the state. Instructor-led classes and web-based training are available.
Fiscal Year 2025 NHI Instructor-Led Training
NHI training is technical and topic-specific. OED budgets for and schedules an allotment of NHI instructor-led classes each fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). A CDOT Subject Matter Expert sponsors each class; Allison Wilson, TETP Manager, works with the host engineer to coordinate, schedule, and fill the class.

Use the course descriptions spreadsheet below to help you find NHI instructor-led courses that meet your learning needs. If you find a course you're interested in taking, click the course title in the course description spreadsheet to register in SOC Learns. Before enrolling, take note of the delivery type (in-person, virtual, online eLearning) and any required prerequisites that need to be completed before the course’s first session.

If you find a course you're interested in taking, click the course title to check if any upcoming sessions are scheduled and to enroll in SOC Learns. If no upcoming sessions are scheduled, use the instructional slides that explain how to receive notifications when an instructor-led course is scheduled.
Free Web-based Training:
All NHI Web-based Trainings (online self-paced e-learnings) can be accessed for free through Blackboard, NHI's learning management system. Important: Some NHI instructor-led trainings have required prerequisite web-based trainings (e-learnings) that need to be completed prior to attending the first day of class. Use the NHI Blackboard Instructions for Web-based Trainings to find and complete required prerequisites or other free online self-paced courses.
