Bluebeam is a software that engineers use for construction project management.
Bluebeam keeps teams on the same page through the design process, helps move the project forward during construction, and preserves important project data through completion and beyond.
To use Bluebeam, you must first request a license.
After you have a license, you can install Bluebeam from CDOT's Software Center. To do so:
In the Windows Search menu on your desktop, type Software Center
Choose the Software Center to open it
In the Software Center's Search box, type Bluebeam
Select Bluebeam then click Install
Note: Installation is not available until after you have a license.
You can log into Bluebeam after you receive a Bluebeam license then download/install Bluebeam from the Software Center. To log in:
In the Windows Search menu on your desktop, type Bluebeam
Click Bluebeam Software
Note: The first time you log into Bluebeam, you'll need to create an account. Here are instructions from Bluebeam Technical Support. Please use your CDOT email address to create your account.
Bluebeam provides a versatile and robust environment for document review and markup that is supportive of plan review. In this video Rob Beck demonstrates a step-by-step guide on how to set up Studio Sessions in Bluebeam, one of Bluebeam’s many features that allows users to collaborate in real-time. This video also illustrates how to use Bluebeam’s Review Tools - learn how to create markups in Bluebeam and how to navigate the Comments and Markups Log that is generated anytime a markup is added.
Within Bluebeam, click Launch Revu to access in-software training.
