SmartCast devices are intended to be part of a connected environment. You can use the SmartCast Home Theater Display to watch content from a set top box, Blu-ray player, or other HDMI compatible device; however, the functionality and features will be limited if you do not have internet access.

How do I setup my SmartCast Home Theater Display / SmartCast HDTV?
My tablet/phone won't pair with my SmartCast Home Theater Display / SmartCast HDTV
If the tablet won't pair with the VIZIO SmartCast Home Theater Display / SmartCast HDTV, select the Having trouble pairing? option in the VIZIO SmartCast App. This will prompt you to connect to a Wireless Network. This wireless network name will be shown on the display
You should now be able to complete the setup process as normal. If you are still unable to pair, reboot both devices by powering the SmartCast Home Theater Display / SmartCast HDTV and the Tablet or other Smart device off and back on again.
Can I skip the setup process?
It is possible to skip the setup process by pressing the Link button on the remote that was included with your SmartCast Home Theater Display or SmartCast HDTV.
Note: skipping the setup process will limit the functionality of your SmartCast Home Theater Display / SmartCast HDTV. If you wish to finish the setup process at any point, simply press the Link button on your VIZIO remote and the setup process will start again.
Can I set up my SmartCast Home Theater Display / SmartCast HDTV without a VIZIO SmartCast Tablet?
The setup process can be completed with any smart device that is capable of downloading the VIZIO SmartCast App.
