CHAIR VARIATION
Many dancers tend to replace the ROCK THRU, REC, FAC figure with the
more dramatic CHAIR, REC, FAC. Some cuers will say CHAIR,
even though that cue is borrowed from Phase III Waltz.
Teach Demo with the CHAIR VARIATION. Cues: John Toll
Some dancers find CHAIR to be uncomfortable or likely to cause knee injury.
The CHAIR variation is optional.
The following example uses the CHAIR, and the cuer also suggests hugs and leg crawls to
facilitate pacing. Those are also optional. Cues: John Toll.
STEP 3: Practicing and Polishing Performance.
