THE "PLUS ONE"
This is a Ph.3 dance with a +1 from Ph.4: the OPEN TELEMARK.
OPEN TELEMARK also called TELEMARK TO SEMI. Timing: sqq
In closed position, diagonal line and center, step forward L; the woman steps back R.
The woman draws L to R and puts her heels together as the man pivots on his L
and steps to the side behind her heel turn.
The telemark was introduced in England, in 1928, by Josephine Bradley & Wellesley Smith.
It was named after the telemark turn in snow skiing, which is used to quickly change direction.
Telemark is borrowed from Ph. 4 Waltz, but in Foxtrot, perform to sqq time.
BONUS We will NOT be dancing this version.
This is the NIGHTCLUB SLOW TWO STEP version.
