PATTY CAKE TAP

Although we will not start dancing Mambo until February 8,

PATTY CAKE TAP practice will start on February 1.

Timing: ss;

In left open position facing reverse,

lift trail knee swivel in to face partner pat trail hands and point trail feet thru toward line no wt, -,

lift trail knee again and swivel back out again to left open and step back, -;

(one weight change total)

The demonstrations include a variety of figures as lead-ins to build up momentum;

but the PATTY CAKE TAP does not start until the SWIVEL, and it ends with the

STEP BACK after the TAP. There is not a shift of weight into the TAP.

The SWIVEL and the TAP are "actions," not steps.
