The Eastern-Kin path to Ultimate form
It is said in legend, that one Kin, willing to make great sacrifice, to undergo extreme hardship, may prove themselves worthy to become an Avatar of The Dragon of the East. Only one being in recorded kin history has ever Ascended to such a State, and this one sacrificed his life to prevent the emergence of the Dark Dragon God in Japan when the island nation was destroyed in the massive eruption of Mt. Fuji.
This path is a dangerous one.
Each sect of Kin have their own tests to find a candidate worthy of the honor. Most tests involve a lengthy test and quest to prove the worth of the individual. And if this is done, than that candidate is taken to a chamber where an upright sarcophagus is opened, and the candidate is prompted to take whatever object happens to be floating inside.
Once contact is made with the object, the suplicant must prove their worthiness to the spirit of that particular dragon sub-type. This usually involves a mental/spiritual contest between the two beings (PC may use either Smarts or Spirit on an extended 5 round check), but can involve some other contest.
The rewards for passing these tests vary by subtype, and are considered edges that can be purchased.

Once these five edges are acquired, the Kin gains this edge for free.

Once these edges have been acquired, a final test is necessary to prove the worthiness of the supplicant. They must find the forgotten temple of the Dragon God of the East, and pass the trials within. The reward for success is the edge below
Scion of the Prismatic Dragon
