sausage gravy
1 pound hot sausage (Jones or Jimmy Dean roll)
¼ cup plus 1T Flour
3 cups milk
- Brown sausage on high. Drain and pat with paper towels.
- Pour sausage back into pan. Sprinkle with flour. Mix and brown a few more minutes on high to crisp some of it. Add milk. On med, stir until reduced to desired thickness and sausage flavor has spread throughout.
- Salt and Pepper
Serve hot over toast or biscuits.
