Description

With this excursion you will have a complete visit of Athens. The 50 seats bus will take you to the major sights and highlights. The staff will meet you at your ship pier at the port of Piraeus and you will be escorted on board for the transfer to Athens. You will have short stops at the major highlights in order to visit them. Your tour escort will give you an explanation of each sites from the outside and if you add the guided walking tour, the guide will take you inside. You will also have free time to have lunch and shopping in the Plaka district before to get on board again.

Mykonos, Greece                                                                                                           

We have found that It's easy to get around in Mykonos and the town can be discovered "on your own". 

If your ship docks at the Old Port you will be walking distance from downtown. If you dock at Tourlos, most cruise lines provide a shuttle bus which takes you to the parking lot near the old port of Mykonos. There are also public buses and taxi (€10 per taxi)  that can take you to town (5 minutes drive).  

If you want to visit Delos you can take a ferry from the Old Port in Mykonos. In the morning there is a boat at 09h00, 10h00 and 11h00. The trip costs € 17 per person (roundtrip) and takes about half an hour. For the entrance of the site in Delos you pay € 6 per person. Boats return to Mykonos at 12h15, 13h30 and 15h00.

This tour allows you to visit all of Rome main sites traveling by bus and being accompanied by a professional touristic escort. 

You can add an optional guide service who will conduct guided walking tours of the visited sites. In case you choose the professional touristic escort only, you will be following the same itinerary, but you will have more free time at each stop.The touristic escort can walk with you but does not have the permit to provide historical and cultural information during the walking part of the tour.

NOTE: extensive walking is involved. Wear comfortable shoes.

Depending on traffic conditions and special events at Vatican or other locations the itinerary may need to be rearranged.

Sites Description

AIX EN PROVENCE: you will visit the fountains, the famous Cours Mirabeau, the private mansions, the places frequented by the painter Paul Cezanne. Walk on the Cours Mirabeau lined with 17th and 18th centuries private mansions, where large plane trees offer shade on hot summer days. The old town is packed with shops, architectural and religious sites, bustling squares and refreshing fountains. Take a stroll through one of the numerous markets taking place everyday in the center of the city. Aix is also the birthplace of the painter Paul Cézanne. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Cézanne's studio that was built from his own plans and where time seems to stand still (entrance ticket not included €7 per person).

CASSIS: is a very ancient fishing port and the harbor is probably the most beautiful part of the village.You will have the possibility to board a 45-minute boat trip to discover 3 Calanques, steep-walled coves with tiny harbors or beaches at the end. Tickets for the Calanque cruise are not included (approx. €13 per person)

MARSEILLE: photo stop at Notre-Dame de la Garde basilica. From this elevated area you will enjoy a breathtaking view on the Phocaean city, the Frioul islands and If Castle. Drive along the Corniche Road, a holiday symbol and outward sign of wealth for merchants and the bourgeois from the 19th century who built magnificent houses with many splendily ostentatious features. You will then reach Saint-Victor abbey (11th century) that overlooks the entry to the Vieux-Port (Old Port).

WINE TOUR: in this wine tour around Aix-en-Provence you will be escorted to the beautiful wine regions of Provence through breathtaking landscapes.With your expert wine guide you will be visiting family-owned wineries, learn about the wine making process, grape varieties and the aging of wine. • Drive to Valldemossa (30 minutes approx) to explore this charming village and the surroundings of la Cartuja.

• Drive back to Palma de Mallorca and take a walking tour of the Gothic quarter, La Seu Cathedral (optional visit), the city hall in Plaza de Cort, Almudaina Palace and the historic stock exchange building (La Lonja), the most important monument in the city center.

• Visit Mallorca's famous Jewish quarter, trolling through its narrow, charming streets.

• Visit the Renaissance walls surrounding the old town and enjoy the amazing panoramic view.

• Drive to the Passeig Maritimo, a waterfront promenade where some of the most important yacht clubs and marinas of Mallorca are located or stay on your own for an indipendent walk in the city.

• Return to the port.
