Tour Description

Enjoy a custom-designed guided shore excursion from any port in the bay of Naples, Sorrento, Salerno, Positano, Amalfi.You will meet your professional licensed guide right at your ship's pier for a full day personalized visit to Capri.

• Your guide will take you to the hydrofoil pier (tickets not included), see schedule and prices here.

• While on your way to Capri your guide will plan with you the perfect day in Capri. Your guide is an expert in this area and is eager to customize shore excursion that reflects your unique travel interests while showing you the very best his homeland has to offer.

  • Once in Capri you will be able to visit some or all of the following sites in the island.

    • Town of Anacapri  where from here you can reach the highest peak of the island the Monte Solaro 589 meters high above the sea level by chairlift (in about 10 minutes) for a spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples.

    • Villa San Michele, built by Swedish writer Axel Munthe over Roman remains;

    • Wander the pedestrian area to the best view point for a great photo, some free time, shopping time, lunch time.

    • Town of Capri walking along the small streets and the famous Piazzetta, the meeting point of celebrities.

    • Augustus' garden, a beautiful public garden situated at a point sheer overlooking the sea for a gorgeous view of the Faraglioni Rocks.

    • The Famous blue grotto (weather permitting).

    • Enjoy a panormaic boat tour of the island (1 hour). You need to coordinate this option directly with your guide on the day of the excursion

• Your guide will take you back to your ship making sure you arrive in perfect timing.

ALL BUS TOURS IN ROME REQUIRE EXTENSIVE WALKING (including the bus tours offered by the cruise line).

For much reduced walking a small 8 seats vehicle is necessary as it can enter all restricted to traffic areas.  

For each 8 seats van the cost is EUR 430 for the whole day

NOTE If all you are interested in is a round trip transfer only, your best option is to book a group service that we offer directly on our web site. This is a large bus tour that departs from the port at 9:30 and returns at 5:30. 

The transfer only option has a cost of EUR 23 pp (full fare) and  EUR 16 pp  (reduced: 2-12 yo) 

Optionally you can choose to add an Highlights Tour with Tour Leader (recommanded) for an additional EUR 10.50 per person (full and reduced)

With the tour option, you will enjoy an in-depth visit of Rome with a multilingual tour leader available for questions and assistance. There will be stops at the main areas of interest in Rome: the Vatican City, the Theatre of Marcellus area (Piazza del Campidolgio, Piazza Venezia, and the Altar of the Fatherland), and the renaissance heart of Rome (Trevi fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Navona) with free time for independent sightseeing.

Depending on traffic conditions and special events at Vatican or other locations the itinerary may need to be rearranged.

• Meet and greet at cruise ship’s pier (representative will have a sign with your name). Drive to Rome, about 1.5h.

• Reach the Vatican Area and visit S. Peter's Square. You may be able to enter S. Peter's Basilica (free to enter), however you will need to pass security check which is likely to have a very long line - If interested we highly suggest skip the lines tickets.  VATICAN DRESS CODE: The Vatican has a very specific dress code, to be taken quite seriously especially: no exposed shoulders, knees, midriffs, or (for the ladies) cleavage.

• The rest of the day can be organized in two different ways (coordinated directly with the assistant/guide)

• Option 1: Trevi, Lunch, Pantheon, Navona Square and Colosseum and Forum

  • Arrive at Trevi Fountain and visit

  • Walk with assistant and visit Panteon and Piazza Navona

  • Walk to bus parking area. Reach and visit Colosseum. 

  • Drive back to port  (approximate 1.5h drive time)

• Option 2: Colosseum and Forum, Trevi, Lunch, Pantheon, Navona Square 

  • Arrive at Colosseum and visit area

  • Arrive at Trevi Fountain and visit, then walk with assistant and visit Panteon and Piazza Navona

  • Walk to bus parking area for departure. Drive to port (approximate 1.5h drive time)
