Proposed Itinerary (may be reversed or rearranged as needed - subjected to changes due to local conditions)

DEPARTURE 8:30 am Reach the parking area with free shuttle. Shuttle departs continuously from ship's pier. Allocate additional time to reach the bus area.

DURATION: approx. 9 hours from pick up to drop off time - additional time €30/h paid to the driver(s)

NOTE: extensive walking is involved. Wear comfortable shoes.

Depending on traffic conditions and special events at Vatican or other locations the itinerary may need to be rearranged.

• Meet and greet at ship pier (assistant will hold a sign with your name). Your travel assistant will take you to the private buses location using a free shuttle service

• Drive to Rome, about 1.5h and meet your guide.

• Arrive at Colosseum and visit area. 

  • Optional entrance tickets for independent visist can be purchased here (Price: €19 (full fare), €7 (reduced, 0-18yo)

• Arrive at Trevi Fountain and visit, then walk with assistant and visit Panteon and Piazza Navona

• Reach the Vatican Area and visit 

  • Option 1: no entrance to Museums: S. Peter's Square. You may be able to enter S. Peter's Basilica (free to enter), however you will need to pass security check which is likely to have a very long line - 

  • Option 2: guided tour of Vatican Museums + Sistine Chapel + Basilica of S. Peter's

  • VATICAN DRESS CODE: The Vatican has a very specific dress code, to be taken quite seriously especially: no exposed shoulders, knees, midriffs, or (for the ladies) cleavage.

• Walk to bus parking area for departure. Drive to port (approximate 1.5h drive time).

• Air conditioned transport by 50 seats bus or 19 seats minibus from the port of La Spezia

• Professional Touristic escort provides commentary while in Bus  and will provide assistance while visiting sites (optional in minibus)

DURATION: approx. 9 hours from pick up to drop off time

Proposed Itinerary (may be reversed or rearranged as needed)

• Reach the meeting point by taking the free shuttle bus that takes travelers from ship to the port exit. Escort will meet you there holding a sign with your name.

• Drive to Pisa(50-60 min). We will stop in Pisa directly in Miracle Square ranks as one of the world's loveliest squares where you can admire “La Torre Pendente” The leaning Tower Pisa's majestic Romanesque Cathedral and the unusual round Baptistry. You will have an opportunity to climb the Leaning Tower (takes 30 min, pre purchased timed entrance tickets are a must).  

• We will continue for a 1 hour drive to Florence. 

• The tour of Florence starts with the wonderful Michelangelo Square where you can enjoy the most beautiful view of the city.

• The tour continues to the historical downtown area through which the driver will take you providing an overview.

• Your driver will drop you off next to the historical area where you will be able to visit the beautiful Santa Croce Square, the Brunelleschi Dome, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio the bridge famous for its unique charming appearance and for the fabulous jewelry shops.

• If interested, you will have limited time to visit to the Academy of Fine Arts (purchase tickets here) where the Michelangelo’s David is, or Uffizi Gallery (purchase tickets here). You must have prepurchased skip the lines entrance tickets (not included in the tour price). 

• Your drive back to La Spezia will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
