Enjoy a complete itinerary to discover the historical city centre, the most modern part of the city and the Albuferta Lake.
Visit the most outstanding monuments in the medieval city: North Railway Station, Serranos and Quart Towers, Central Market, Lonja (old silk exchange, 15th-century Gothic civil building with dramatic arches & occasional public art exhibits - see pictures), Round Square, Cathedral, Virgin Square and the exterior of the Basilica and the Generalitat Palace.
In the most modern part of the city the highlight is the new landmark of Valencia, the City of Arts & Sciences, an architectural complex designed by top architect Santiago Calatrava and located on the former Turia riverbed.
After that, We will head towards the Albufera Natural Park, a paradise for the migratory birds and a leisure area for the inhabitants of Valencia.
Next to the Albufera is located Dehesa del Saler. In this dunes and pines area with more than 10 km by the sea, one will have the opportunity to observe some exclusive flora that only grows in the Valencian Community.
The coastal area next to the Albufera is characterized by long sand beaches: el Saler, El Perellonet, El Perelló, Les Palmeretes, Motilla, Mareny de Barraquetes, Vega del Mar y Mareny de Vilxes, that are known as leisure areas, where tourists can enjoy the sun and the sea. This touristic zone is especially busy during the summer.
In this beautiful environment, is located El Palmar best known as the “home of the paella” where we will take a ride on a little boat. Afterwards, we will have a delicious paella in one of the best restaurants in the village.
After lunch, we will return to the port.
