Sept 17: (full group about 38 pax possibly all arriving together) Transfer from FCO Airport to centrally locate hotel in Rome by van for about 38 people (night on your own for people that wish to do an 1/2 day tour we will provide individual options). 20 to 25 will be interested in a tour of the Vatican and a tour of the Colosseum (1:00 pm at the Vatican then Colosseum all on the same day of arrival like the one we organized for 2018).
Sept 18: (full group about 35 pax) Transfer-tour combo from centrally located hotel by van (8 pax per van) with experienced English speaking driver. Pick up at hotel, visit Rome for about 4h (highlights to include Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain and other locations as per customer request, transfer to port (1.5h) and drop off at ship's pier
Include Spanish steps, trevi fountain and anything that was not done in 2018 (important not using the bad driver we had in 2018, they do not remember his name but we need to make sure that all driver are top)

ROME to Venice Tranin Transfer
Train service in Italy is covered by 2 companies: Trenitalia and Italo. They both serve the Rome-Venice fast line.
The transfer is from Roma Termini (station) to Venezia S. Lucia (station), each city has multiple stations but these are the ones you need.
ITALO: Official web site (costs a little less and allows for group booking directly online. Transfer is 4 h.

This is a transfer-tour combo from centrally located hotel by van (8 pax per van) with experienced English speaking driver. Pick up at hotel, visit Rome for about 4h (highlights to include Piazza di Spagna with Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, transfer to port (1.5h) and drop off at ship's pier.
Traveling by vans has lots of advantages as vans can enter the city historical areas and can reach hotels even if they are in restricted areas. The tour is conducted by an experienced and knowledgeable tour driver, which is not a walk along museum guide. For those interested in having a guided visit of the Vatican we can arrange it for those interested.

From your port, we will enjoy a leisurely transfer to Taormina which will take us up the hillside. Together we will visit the most panoramic square: "Belvedere Square" with its unique breathtaking view over the Messina coastline, all the Taormina bays, the Catania coastline and our volcano Etna in the background.
We will then take you to the historical center of Taormina where you can have your own free time to explore the village, stroll the streets and narrow alleyways with picturesque corners and nice shops. You will also have the time to visit the Greek Theatre (€10 pp entrance tickets not included) and the most important highlights of Taormina.
OPTIONAL CASTELMOLA visit (since you only have at most 6 total hours available you may want to choose to spend extra time in Taormina or transform this to a 1/2 day 4h tours with just a stop in Taormina.)

The tour begins with a scenic journey to Oia, admiring the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and neighboring islands along the way. The village of Oia is situated on top of a hill which offers a breathtaking view over the volcanic caldera of Santorini. This beautiful village with its narrow streets, traditional whitewashed houses, and blue domed churches provides a picture-postcard vision of the Greek Island.
Enjoy the stunning views in the village of Imerovigli, situated on a higher cliff. In front of the village is an enormous rock called Skaros, which used to be the best spot to look out for pirates.
On the way, we will make a short stop in Firostefani to see the famous Blue Dome Church, the subject of so many Santorini postcards.
Make your way to the peak of Prophet Ilias, Santorini’s highest mountain that stands some 2000 feet above the sea. Be amazed by the island vistas around you and follow your guide inside the ornate Greek Christian monastery perched at the mountain’s summit.
Visit the village of Pyrgos, the old capital of the island, take a guided walk along the narrow paths to the ruins of the Venetian castle.

With this excursion you will have a complete visit of Athens. The private bus will take you to the major sights and highlights. The staff will meet you at your ship pier at the port of Piraeus and you will be escorted on board for the transfer to Athens. You will have short stops at the major highlights in order to visit them. Your tour guide will give you an explanation of each site. You will also have free time to have lunch and shopping in the Plaka district before to get on board again.

Mykonos, Greece
We have found that It's easy to get around in Mykonos and the town can be discovered "on your own".
If your ship docks at the Old Port you will be walking distance from downtown. If you dock at Tourlos, most cruise lines provide a shuttle bus which takes you to the parking lot near the old port of Mykonos. There are also public buses and taxi (€10 per taxi) that can take you to town (5 minutes drive).
If you want to visit Delos you can take a ferry from the Old Port in Mykonos. In the morning there is a boat at 09h00, 10h00 and 11h00. The trip costs € 17 per person (roundtrip) and takes about half an hour. For the entrance of the site in Delos you pay € 6 per person. Boats return to Mykonos at 12h15, 13h30 and 15h00.

Your guide will meet you at 9:00 am in S. Mark square. In order to reach that point you have to follow the instruction below
reach the meeting point on your own taking public transportation (water bus from the train station stop to S. Mark's square stop) or walking. The ferry takes about 30 min from the train station, and in 2019 had a cost of €7.50 per person . Thickets can be purchased at the ferry stop in front of the train station. The same can be done walking, but you have to move quickly as people may become attracted by stores and beautiful picture perfect alleys. If one moves without stopping, walking from the train station to St Marks square will take approximately 30 min. If your hotel is anywhere walking may be the easyest way (it depands on the location of the hotel).
