A bolete to look out for in Scottish pinewoods this autumn

At a casual glance, many would mistake the Pine Bolete (Boletus pinophilus) for the closely related Penny Bun/Cep. However, if you are in a pinewood, and the cap and stem have red brown tinges, you may have this month's focus fungus. Have a look at the full species profile for more photos and information.
