A tiny but tough scalycap - challenge to find the first April record in Scotland

April's Fungus of the Month is Phaeomarasmius erinaceus - Hedgehog Scaleycap. Rarely reaching more than 2cm in height, this tiny, gilled species is most commonly found on dead attached branches of willow trees. It is a spring/summer species but hasn't been recorded in April in Scotland yet... so there's a challenge! Read more on the profile page.
